Bio
I’m a Postdoc at the University of Bristol in the Selva lab. Broadly speaking, my interests lie in integrating LiDAR data and field surveys to study forest restoration. My work at Bristol is focusing on the recovery of microclimates in restored forests. I am particularly interested in how forest structural recovery drives microclimate development in 3D space and how this in turn shapes ecosystem processes.
Prior to joining the Selva lab I worked at Forest Research where I compared the structural recovery and biological communities of passively and actively restored forests. I completed my PhD at the University of Leeds where my thesis explored the spatial targeting of forest creation.
Outside of work I enjoy racquet sports, video games, the Lake District, and miscellaneous outdoor pursuits.
